Seeking an HVAC technician for certified TAB firm in Nashville TN area.
Perform Testing, Adjusting and Balance (TAB) on commercial HVAC systems using specialized testing equipment and NEBB balancing procedures.
Basic understanding of commercial HVAC systems recommended. We will train as necessary.
TAB requires physical activity such as climbing ladders, holding and carrying testing equipment and/or working on roofs at various times during winter or summer conditions.
Basic testing procedure requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Calculating and measuring air flow volumes, and velocities
- Reading and evaluating air and water pressures
- HVAC hot water/chilled water system balancing (includes geothermal, heat pump and cooling tower systems)
- Use of basic algebra skills
- Use of troubleshooting skills
The final goal of our work is to distribute air flow and cooling/heating water flow per the mechanical design documents and submit a certified report to the owner or contractor.
Requires travel throughout Middle Tennessee.
High School diploma or greater required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
