Raircon Corp. is a rapidly growing organization looking for qualified, highly motivated and talented candidates to join our staff.
We’re looking for the immediate hire of a Plumbing Technician to perform skilled plumbing duties in the inspection, repair, installation, alteration and maintenance of diverse plumbing fixtures and equipment, water and sewer systems, drain systems, and related devices. Responsible for training helpers and/or apprentice plumbers on the job.
Main Requirements:
- Proven Experience in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of diverse plumbing fixtures and equipment, water and sewer systems and related devices.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Able to fluently communicate in English. Spanish is a plus.
- Available Weekend when needed.
- Authorization to work in the USA.
Salary/Compensation would be based on experience. All Candidates are offered Health, Dental, Vision and PTO.
Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned)
1) Coordinate, troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and maintain plumbing equipment including but not limited to, faucets, lavatories, toilets, flush valves, sinks, water heaters, drinking fountains, domestic water heaters and boilers, garbage disposals, backflows devices, valves, and water meters.
2) Repair or replace water lines, circulation lines and sewer lines.
3) Respond to emergency plumbing calls such as clogged toilets, sinks, and drains, leaking plumbing fixtures, broken water lines, malfunctioning sum pumps, gas odors, and possible gas leaks, etc. Evaluate the situation and make necessary repairs.
4) Install new plumbing fixtures including, but not limited to, sinks, commodes, urinals, faucets, drinking fountains, garbage disposals, water heaters, and other related devices.
5) Receive daily tasks from dispatching. Report to dispatching when arriving at the job site and when the job is completed. Contact dispatching for help when technical support is needed or when unforeseen conditions arise in a job.
6) Have a driver’s license in good standing and be able to safely operate a motor vehicle.
7) Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle. Maintain and monitor inventory of all parts, tools, and safety equipment, and coordinate with our in-house warehouse for the supply and/or re-stock of parts, tools, and/or safety equipment as necessary.
8) Maintain and submit mileage log forms, as well as gas receipts within 24 hours of servicing the vehicle.
9) Understand the company’s pricing and generate appropriate customer estimates and/or invoices as appropriate at the job site. Obtain the customer’s signature upon completion of the job. Obtain correct customer contact information including e-mail address.
10) Generate a no-charge invoice for every job call back or job review and obtain the customer’s signature.
11) Fully complete daily hourly report, including invoice number, charged amount, time on the job, OT hours, and/or specific activities where invoice or estimates are not generated.
12) Document all installed equipment upon arrival: Make, model, serial number, necessary measurement, and pictures as necessary.
13) Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain any replacement parts, calibrate the system to the manufacturer’s recommendations, and explain fully to the customer what the issue is and what needs to be corrected.
14) Purchase equipment and/or parts as necessary or as instructed by dispatching; obtain PO# to purchase equipment.
15) Participate in company-provided training opportunities on the latest industry technologies.
16) Identify and report to management potential opportunities for additional business (Newer system, service contracts, and/or additional services).
17) Work a minimum of 40 hours a week, work overtime hours when necessary or when requested, and participate in rotary on-call duty as required by the company.
18) Any other job and/or company-related tasks assigned by management.
