What will your job look like?
The Manager, Facility Maintenance is responsible for providing oversight and direction to the facilities maintenance team as well as maintaining the facility and surround grounds, ensuring a safety first mindset. This oversight includes scheduled and unscheduled maintenance inspection and repairs, overseeing the custodial duties of the facilities and grounds, and minor maintenance actions. This role will also provide support with documenting and tracking facility maintenance requirements.
The Manager, Facility Maintenance will ensure that all locations are kept in accordance with the company’s vision for a conducive, safe and healthy working environment that allows employees to effectively and safely perform their job duties.

What you’ll do:
- Manage, coach and develop individuals within the facility maintenance team
- Ensure and maintain ground maintenance, year-round
- Ensure facilities are properly maintained as required
- Ensure a safety first culture
- Manage and assign team workflows (to include work orders, documentation, etc) and assignments
- Establish key metrics for team
- Monitor work performed by technicians and contractors
- Oversee permitting, SWPPP (Storm Water Plan), monitoring, scheduling and coordination of required actions
- Document all the complaints, causes, and corrective actions in the Cap Metro HEXAGON EAM computerized maintenance management system
- Ensure data accuracy when utilizing the maintenance management system
- Identify part needs and ensure information is communication to appropriate department for ordering
- Maintain tools and machinery, ensuring safety is the number one priority
- Communication with building maintenance technicians or designee on assignments, activities and follow up actions
- Participate in any ongoing training and required annual OSHA/safety training
- Load and unload trucks and deliveries, as needed
- Coordinate furniture moves, office set up, and equipment/office furniture assembly, as needed
- Assist contractors with direction and labor assistance as required
- Other duties as assigned
What you’ll need:
Experience, Education & Certifications:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- 5+ years’ experience in a related position within general HVAC, operational systems, electrical, hydraulic systems, generators, and general facility repair
- Must maintain a valid state-issued driver’s license
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and state, federal and OSHA regulations
- Knowledge of fueling stations
- Ability to work flexible hours as required
- Ability to follow all company policies, procedures, and regulations per the MTM Transit Code of Conduct and accepted by the CBA
- Subject to Random Drug and Alcohol Testing as required
- Provide own tools to include some diagnostic and specialty tools
- Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
- Regular attendance is required
- Knowledge of transit safety regulations
- Must have knowledge of minor carpentry repair and assembly functions in the repair, and maintenance of buildings, floors, roofs, stairways, partitions, doors, windows, screens, scaffolding forms, wood fixtures, and furniture
- Must have knowledge of minor plumbing activities associated with clogged drains and minor leaking faucet type lines
- Must have knowledge of minor electrical repairs such as: replacing light switches, outlets, light fixtures, bulbs and breakers
- Must have knowledge of preventative maintenance inspection and minor maintenance of specific systems as outlined on PM forms for said equipment

Salary Min: $72,000/ annually
Salary Max: $90,000/ annually
