Job Summary
· Full-time employment (NO TEMP AGENCY) – Health care benefits, vacation time. $45-$50/Hr.
· Measures, cuts bend, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduits using such tools as a hacksaw, pipe threader, rules and conduit benders.
· MCC installations, and VFD installations.
· Pulls wiring through conduit, assisted by helper.
· Splices wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads with knife or pliers, twisting or soldering wires together and applying tape or terminal caps.
· Connects power cables to equipment and installs grounding leads.
· Connects wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment using hand tools.
· Installs controls and distribution such as switches, relays and circuit breaker panels; then fasten in place with crews or bolts using hand power tools.
· Test continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility. Keep safety of all components by using testing instruments such as ohmmeter, battery, buzzer, and oscilloscope.
· Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards, need of adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
· Disassembles and repairs defective electrical equipment or systems.
· Maintain tools and equipment.
· Load, transport and unload materials, tools, equipment and supplies.
· Be able to distinguish cable colors.
· Knowledge of LOTO procedures.
· Responsible for observing and complying with all rules and regulations of project safety.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· May require a HS diploma or equivalent GED. MUST have previous years of experience in the field or related area.
· Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
· Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the job.
· Work under immediate supervision.
· Primary job function does not require exercising independent judgment. Must report to a Foreman and Project Manager.
HOURS:
· Must be able to work weekends
· 10 hours shift.
· Must be able to work overtime.
License/Certification:
· Electrical license
