Job Description:
For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $148,000 - $222,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.
The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Schneider Electric is seeking a Business Development Manager in Dallas, TX for HVAC, Pump, Compressor, Water and Watewater solutions to establish and strengthen our sales relationships with OEM customers, driving incremental business growth by identifying new opportunities and prospecting for new customers.
As the Business Development Manager, you will drive OEM sales growth in the HVAC, Pump and Compressor market, collaborating effectively with supporting sales resources and partners. Engagement with our OEM customer ecosystem is essential to deliver the desired customer outcomes and experience. You will be instrumental in creating demand through the development and presentation of compelling purchasing rationales, deploying our products, services, and solutions.
HVAC/Pump/Compressor Business Development Managers are responsible for identifying net new business and managing the entire sales process from identifying prospect and influencing the specifications to negotiating contracts. Other job essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Identifying and generating new HVAC/Pump/Compressor business opportunities and lead all customer interactions.
- Articulating and presenting Schneider’s HVAC/Pump/Compressor Value Proposition.
- Create and maintain sales plans for short and long term opportunties by developing long-term relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Collaborating with solution architects on all opportunities and colleagues across all businesses to deliver best-in-class solutions.
- Managing customer relationships through all phases of the sales cycle and ensure a seamless transition of sales to delivery.

Identify partners with expertise in segment applications and project delivery, utilize business and financial acumen to create value propositions, and drive growth through collaboration with SE Automation distributors while also platforming OEM accounts to map out areas for potential growth.
Qualifications:
- Experience in the HVAC/Pump/Compressor market segment and expertise in Industrial Automation.
- A degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent engineering discipline.
- At least 6 years of diverse experience in sales, marketing, and product management.
- Relevant work experience and networks within the OEM HVAC/Pump/Compressor Industry are desirable.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills across functional boundaries.
- Solid strategic planning, ability to challenge the status quo, and collaborate within a complex organization.
- Knowledge and experience in product and solution offers, competition, application knowledge of HVAC/Pump/Compressor machine types, and IT sales tools.
- Understanding of economic, financial, and legal aspects of contracts and sales agreements.
- Familiarity with automation technology, international standards, and HVAC/Pump and Water networks is advantageous.
