We are looking for an experienced HVAC Technical Supervisor. The HVAC Technical Supervisor is directly in charge of the entire Technician and Installer work force and should be the go-to person for technical questions and personnel related matters. This position requires engagement with the day-to-day operations of the service schedule, assistance with job scoping alongside the Sales Team, and logistics as supported by the Dispatch Team.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the proper assignment of Field Workers to jobs, appropriate pre-appointment instruction, accurate diagnosis, comprehensive scoping of recommendations (when applicable), and successful completion of paperwork (Service Fusion) on all jobs of all categories
- Is expected to maintain a constant awareness of the schedule and is expected to always remain prepared to assist Field Workers whenever an appointment is active on the schedule (regardless of date/time)
- Should be prepared to provide in-person, telephone, or written support to their team, depending upon the complexity of the situation
- In the extreme event of an Installer or Technician being unable to complete a prescribed appointment, the Field Supervisor should always be prepared to take over the appointment with the goal of training to avoid future recurrence
- Responsible for the success of both Standard Rate and Emergency/Holiday Rate appointments
- Responsible for growing the Emergency Service Team and for broadening our Service expertise for those offerings (both Commercially and Residentially)
- Responsible for the vetting, interviewing, and hiring of all Field Workers
- Responsible for constantly reviewing Paragon Maintenance programs and modifying, eliminating, or creating new offerings as needed to meet customer and technician needs
- Responsible for creating and developing the Paragon Technician and Installer training programs to support Field Workers of all experience levels
- Oversees the installation of new units and replacement parts and ensures work is completed according to company specifications and established safety guidelines.
- Trains and supports employees to achieve a zero-defect goal and tracks call-back and warranty issues.
- Reviews, establishes, and trains to the “Paragon Standards”. May authorize equipment purchases and repair parts.
- Plans, monitors, and manages the daily service activities of all Field Workers
- Tracks service progress, timing, costs, and pricing of all ongoing jobs for the day
- Provides support for technicians during on-call hours, coordinate with answering service as needed
- Helps inform daily workflow and scheduling with the Dispatch Team
- Works with technicians to create accurate and executable job scopes
- Assists Field Workers in obtaining part and equipment information from vendors as needed
- Reviews and approves invoices for material purchases related to Service activities
- Calculates/verifies Field Worker commissions on all recommended work
- Coordinates and works in support of the procurement team (if necessary) to order and track materials requested by service technicians
- Tracks and manages supply and tool inventory for vehicles and shop
- Evaluates current and proposed operational systems and procedure and implements changes, as necessary
- Prepares reports and audits to monitor and improve operational effectiveness
- Assists with budget preparations for the operations
- Contributes and assists with, or prepares and updates, operations manuals, policies, processes and procedures, and monitors and ensures compliance
- Responsible for promoting and implementing the Company's safety program/rules, training and investigation as needed.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Extensive knowledge of Commercial and Residential HVAC service and installation work (significant field experience required)
- System design and design/build experience
- Boiler experience
- Excellent managerial and supervisory skills
- Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted safety principles/standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to analyze information and multi-task, and excellent organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Service Fusion experience (preferred)
Compensation:
The person in this position would receive a base salary plus a commission based on jobs sold and managed.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
