Major Objectives: The HVAC Production Manager is responsible for executing the HVAC activities on the assigned project. These activities and tasks include self-performing work at the General Superintendent’s direction, managing the subcontractors, ensuring the quality of the installations, always ensuring local ordinance licensing compliance, coordinating with the general contractor and other trades, maintaining the production schedules, and ensuring the work is completed within the budgets for the project.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Plan and coordinate installations of ac and heating systems to ensure conformance to codes.
- Evaluate and manage the resources and processes required for the successful completion of a high volume of multifamily projects.
- Drive continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Customer Service, and Productivity throughout the installation process.
- Ensure that every member of the installation team receives the proper safety training and equipment applicable to their position and follows Standard Operating Procedures for Safety.
- Ensure that “Best Practices” are being consistently applied throughout the install operations.
- Monitor work of subcontractors to ensure projects conform to specifications, schedules.
- Provide technical assistance to installers, technicians, or other trade professionals.
- Identify means to reduce costs, minimize risks, or increase efficiency of installation projects.
- Assures the quality of work produced is acceptable to company standards and specifications.
- Work closely with the General Superintendent to provide accurate installation.
- Manage on site material accurately with minimal waste
- Schedule’s inspections
Skills and Capabilities:
- Expert in Multifamily Air Conditioning Field
- In depth knowledge of Air Conditioning / mechanical building codes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills required; communicate and be committed to the organization’s mission, vision, and principles
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills-ability to prioritize work, multitask and be detail oriented
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage a 5-7 man HVAC team.
- Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards.
- Prepare and manage reports.
- Collaborate with property managers and other stakeholders.
- Manage inventory and order supplies and equipment as needed
- Handle customer service issues and resolve complaints.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an HVAC service manager or similar role.
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, maintenance, and repair.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., EPA certification, NATE certification).
- Ability to work flexible hours and handle emergency situations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
