Artisun Solar is a leading Commercial, Industrial, & Agricultural Solar Developer in the mid-west. We are a veteran owned, family operated business that continues to experience rapid growth. We are looking for an experienced Service Electrician who is looking to grow in their career.
Position Overview Service Electrician and Assistant Project Manager will be the main representative for the company to both field workers and clients during the construction phase. This positionwill play a key role in the company providing the highest quality and professionally installed project.
REPORTS TO: VP Of Field Operations

- Electrician or service technician with 5 years of commercial construction or industrial service experience.
- Someone with the ability to travel and be on the road 50% of the time or more.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinate with customers, contractors, sub-contractors, inspectors, and suppliers to successfully complete projects on time and on budget.
- Direct and coordinate activities to ensure project is on schedule and within budgeted scope; review status reports prepared by contractors and make changes where needed.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, journals, or governmental regulations
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and permitting authorities.
- Ensure quality standards are met
- Identify and forecast project issues early on and develop a Plan of Action to keep the project timeline
- Report on project status to customers and management
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical problems to keep solar systems operational.
- Oversee commissioning of project and document project completion
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current driver’s license
- Experience in construction and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
- High Mechanical & electrical aptitude and desire to learn and implement process improvements.
- Home Office and ability to work remote and hold oneself accountable without direct supervision.
- Understanding of electrical & general construction practices
- In depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and safety guidelines
- PC skills required (Excel, Word, and google mail/gsuite products).
- Ability to read and understand installation manuals, drawings, plans, and blueprints.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to travel regionally 50% or more, averaging 2 or 3 nights per week.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to ascend/descend ladders and work on rooftops.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
