Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systemsfor new residential high end construction environments. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. The Electrician will work closely with other tradespeople and contractors to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with relevant codes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout of electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters.
- Perform low voltage installations and repairs as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to safety protocols.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in various work environments.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all local electrical codes and regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Electrician in residential new construction settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with frame carpentry is a plus.
- Proficiency in working with high voltage systems as well as low voltage applications.
- Experience using electrical testing equipment such as voltmeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
