Role Overview:
As a General Maintenance/ Electrician, you will support the mission and philosophy of the company while adhering to established policies and procedures. Your expertise will ensure the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of the school's facilities.
Essential Job Functions:
- Utilize our facilities management software system to track and complete work orders.
- Inspect and document building surfaces for maintenance needs and structural deficiencies.
- Perform general building maintenance tasks including masonry, welding, painting, and surface preparation.
- Install, repair, and maintain critical systems such as plumbing, irrigation, and swimming pool systems.
- Operate and maintain equipment safely, reporting any unsafe conditions or damages immediately.
- Participate in crisis management operations and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Apply paints, varnishes, and lacquers to various surfaces, ensuring a professional finish.
- Manage setup and operation of heavy lifting equipment, scaffolding, and other machinery up to 80 feet high.
- Coordinate with school personnel to determine appropriate colors and designs for painting projects.
- Handle and dispose of hazardous materials according to safety protocols.
- Manage interruptions and adapt to varying work conditions effectively.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in general maintenance/ electrician roles.
- Proficiency in using computers to manage work orders.
- Capable of climbing ladders, working from high lifts or scaffolding, and operating heavy equipment like forklifts.
- Valid and current driver’s license.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
