Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, including both low and high voltage applications. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of electrical schematics, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. The Journeyperson Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various settings, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Utilize hand tools, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Perform low voltage installations including security systems, telecommunications, and data cabling.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with local building codes and safety standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or necessary repairs.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices or less experienced electricians as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician or similar role within the electrical field.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems including commercial electrician duties as well as industrial electrician tasks.
- Familiarity with hand tools and testing equipment used in electrical work.
- Experience with frame carpentry is a plus for integrated projects involving structural modifications.
- Ability to work on high voltage systems safely while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Previous experience working with low voltage systems is advantageous.
