We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, machinery, and equipment within our facility. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems: Perform electrical installations, including wiring, conduit, electrical panels, and other related systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues: Diagnose and repair electrical problems with machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure minimal downtime.
- Preventive maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and machinery to identify potential issues before they cause disruptions.
- Equipment installation: Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment, ensuring that all electrical systems are safely and properly connected.
- Compliance: Ensure all electrical work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes, as well as company safety standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with other departments: Work closely with other maintenance team members, engineers, and production staff to support the overall operation of the facility.
- Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in electrical systems preferred.
- Licensing: Valid electrician's license or certification as required by state or local regulations.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an electrician in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, including PLCs, motors, and control systems.
- Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in various conditions, including heights, confined spaces, and around machinery.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with automation systems and PLC programming.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Experience with energy management and efficiency improvement initiatives.
Working Conditions:
- Environment: This role involves working in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to loud noises, high temperatures, and hazardous materials.
