Overview
We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in pipe installation, maintenance, and repair, ensuring that piping systems are properly aligned, secured, and sealed.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of piping systems
- Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading
- Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment
- Utilize power tools for cutting, bending, and welding pipes
- Test piping systems for leaks using pressure gauges or hydrostatic testing
- Collaborate with other construction professionals such as welders and plumbers
- Perform maintenance on existing piping systems
Experience
- Proficiency in using power tools for pipefitting tasks
- Experience with tube bending techniques
- Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately
- Familiarity with calipers for precise measurements
- Knowledge of fire sprinkler fitting is a plus
- Capability to build, rig, and maintain pipelines effectively
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and repairs
- Strong grasp of basic math skills for measurements and calculations
