Core Summary
The Electrician, Licensed performs building maintenance and repair work, and responds to the corrective needs of electrical equipment, and system components.
Core Responsibilities
Tests emergency generators, and conditioning and heating systems. Maintains and repairs circulator and sump pumps, refrigeration units, fans, and other electrical equipment.
Installs lighting fixtures and other electrical apparatus.
Tests circuits for continuity and overloading.
Conducts fire alarm tests and participates in the movement and installation of machinery and equipment.
Evaluates equipment performance using instruments, such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, pyrometers, and pressure gauges.
Works from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring and equipment.
Maintains records, prepares reports, and orders supplies and equipment.
Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Core Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
Certification in relevant specialty or field
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
