JOB SUMMARY
Looking for a career-minded Senior HVAC Technician to join our Class “A” commercial building team located in Washington, D.C. who will be performing professional, advanced senior-level duties in the inspection, installation, repair, and servicing of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related equipment, machinery, and facilities.
REQUIREMENTS
Senior HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of small, large, and complex heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment. Assignments vary and encompass a wide variety of tasks requiring applicant to be a self-starter with minimal supervision possessing sound judgment and initiative. The HVAC Technician is distinguished from the Senior HVAC Technician in that the latter class requires a more advanced level of knowledge in the heating and air conditioning trade and has lead level responsibilities with the desire to advance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Analyze, Plan, and Perform Preventive Maintenance of the HVAC System throughout the building.
· Plan shutdowns for maintenance and repair pumps, including condenser water and heat exchanger.
· Troubleshoot, repair, and make modifications to HVAC Systems and web-based controls.
· Adhere to federal and state codes, and work with monitoring sites on energy and efficiencies.
· Maintain maintenance records as required by city, BOMA, and EPA regulations.
· Order and maintain parts needed to repair and maintain HVAC equipment.
· Manage Carrier I-VU Pro System with integrated CCN platform.
· Properly maintain seventy (70) individual Trane units 5 – 25 ton, three (3) 1100 ton induce draft BAC towers.
· And other duties as assigned with the desire to learn to take on managerial opportunities.
Licenses and Certificates
· Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver’s license by the time of interview.
· Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Universal CFC License
· HVAC certification from an accredited institution
Experience
· Five years of senior-level experience in the heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration trade.
