Job description
Experienced Industrial Electrician with 480V 3-phase and industrial troubleshooting experience to assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, including PLC and various drives, using hand, power, and precision measuring tools. The Electrician will diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. The Electrician is responsible for the connection of wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. The Electrician is also responsible for observing and following all safety regulations with required PPE.
- Proactively maintain/update electrical equipment and building infrastructure to meet regulatory codes at the county, state, and federal levels
- Demonstrate safe and proficient use of shop tools (both hand and power)
- Demonstrate mechanical knowledge
- Competent with the programming of VFDs
- Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot PLC’s
- Must have own tools
- Must possess demonstrated ability to safely utilize a scissor lift
- Must be physically capable of performing work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
- Perform installation and maintenance work as part of a team of skilled trade workers
- Perform duties in a work environment that will be hot, cold, dirty, and fast-paced
- Self-starter that follows instructions as directed
- Other duties as assigned
Responsible for all repairs and maintenance of all production machinery, mechanical, electrical, and any equipment in the shop, including manual and CNC machinery, mechanical equipment, etc.
Troubleshoots and determines the cause of failures that occur in all equipment, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical failures.
In addition to machinery may troubleshoot and repair jib cranes, overhead cranes, and forklifts.
Reads and interprets blueprints, hydraulic schematics, and pneumatic schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
May wire, perform electrical installations, and disconnect and connect machine tools and other machinery.
May perform work on switch gears, motor relays, gearboxes, and perform point-to-point wiring.
May troubleshoot electrical circuits to include AC and DC circuitry.
May set up and operate drill presses, grinders, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
Must be able to operate a scissor lift. Forklift operation is a plus.
May be required to perform basic welding for the purposes of repair.

Salary: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour dependent on license level
