Qualifications:
- Preferred: 2 or more years as a licensed Journeyman Electrician
- Commercial Electrical experience required.
- Valid TDLR Journeyman License
- Knowledge of NEC Code
- Tool pouch and tools, power tools included
- Must have a smartphone and be able to download app to clock in and out.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from jobsites on a daily basis.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must pass background check and drug test
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and written reference materials.
- Must know BlueBeam / ProCore / PLanGrid and other programs alike
- Able to follow written and verbal instruction
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations
- Can diagnose and resolve problems
- Keep material in front of the crew to stay busy
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Install wiring, electrical fixtures, power equipment, following current NEC and local code
- Install control and distribution apparatus, including motors, relays, switches, thermostats, circuit-breaker panels for machine
- Install and connect power supply wiring, cables, conduit, and electrical apparatus for machines and equipment in new and existing facilities following diagrams, schematics, or blueprints
- Test continuity of circuits to ensure compatibility and safety of components using testing instruments
- Diagnose and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment using testing instruments and equipment
- Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit using rulers, measuring devices, hand tools, pipe threader, and conduit bender.
- Maintain inventory of company-owned tools, equipment, and materials
- Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures
- Ensure that equipment is in safe operating condition
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements and also through reporting violations of policies, procedures and guidelines to immediate supervisor
- Communicate with employees, management, vendors in a professional manner.
- Ability to operate scissor lifts, trenchers, skid steer and/or a mini excavator
- Ability to work from all types of ladders and perform work at various heights from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, or other areas.
- Keep and maintain positive attitude towards completing the job and complying with all company policies.
- Must be willing to work in extreme weather conditions.
