Job Summary:
The Refrigeration Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the proper functioning of the refrigeration equipment while maintaining a high standard of service. The Refrigeration Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair(s) of the commercial refrigeration systems.
Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain refrigeration systems and equipment, including walk-in coolers, freezers, refrigerated display cases, ice machines, and HVACR systems
- Document all work performed including but not limited to services reports, work orders by internal software
- Respond to service calls in a timely manner
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, lubricating motors, and inspecting electrical components to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Test and calibrate refrigeration systems using specialized tools and equipment to verify proper operation and compliance with safety and performance standards
- Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and contractors to plan and execute refrigeration installations, upgrades, and retrofits
Skills and Qualifications:
- EPA Certification is a must
- 4 years previous (field) experience in similar role preferred
- Ability to work independently/ as a part of a team
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures in accordance with industry regulations and company policies
- Valid driver’s license
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Documentation and reporting skills
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time during shift
- Can lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Basic computer skills (electronic documentation)
Flexibility to work non-traditional hours and weekends when required.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
