JOB DESCRIPTION
As an Electrical Apprentice you will travel the Phoenix surrounding areas to service various private projects. Alco Building Solutions has several projects that will take us well into 2025! We are looking for dedicated and professional Electrical Apprentice who can travel and are flexible.
The ideal candidate will be able to fulfill the minimum job requirements and qualifications:
- Must be either a Certified Non-Residential Lighting Technician, or Certified Electrical Trainee.
- 3+ years of experience.
- Provide our clients with superior service.
- Communicate progress to Project Managers and Supervisors.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Comply with ABS safety policies.
- Work in a safe, mindful manner so as not to damage or disturb customer's facilities.
- Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures. Perform physically demanding tasks while conveying knowledge of basic/specialized tools and equipment throughout service job process.
- Must understand and conform to Government/ Local regulations and ordinances as well as any/all required Safety Guidelines.
- Must be able to pass a drug and background screen.
- Posses a valid driver's license.
- Willingness to travel is required.
- Availability to work Monday through Friday, possible weekends. Day and evening shifts as needed.
- Dependable and reliable, with a good work history.
- Essential Physical Requirements Necessary for Job: Regularly required to stand; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, twist, kneel, crouch, or crawl; Frequently required to walk; Occasionally required to use hands and fingers to type and talk or hear; Close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Ability to regularly lift off product up to 50+ LBS, and/or move up to 50+ pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds; repeatedly and continuously throughout the day.
- Self-motivated and flexible with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Maintain records for work completed.
- Ability to completely install a project based off an engineered design.
- Accept responsibility for the projects worked on.
- Must be an exceptional technician. We prefer individuals who are highly skilled and efficient.
- Ability to work in closed spaces such as closets, crawl spaces, mechanical rooms, etc.
- Ability to work from heights as needed.
- Candidate must have own tools.
- Attention to detail.
- Other duties as assigned.
