RGB TECHNICIAN
Our Enchant Installations utilize some of the largest RGB LED structural installations in the industry and year over year we continue to push the envelope of what is capable with this technology.
Reporting to the Head of Electrical, the RGB Technician role is critical in ensuring that our RGB light assets are functioning safely and properly for our events and in accordance with the Electrical Distribution Drawing package. The RGB Technician, under the guidance of the Head of Electrical will be responsible for the proper installation, wiring, programming and maintenance of our large RGB assets. During run of show or in times where there is not a precedence for RGB technical work, the RGB Technician will be expected to also act as a general Electrical Technician in ensuring our other, non RGB assets are functioning and installed correctly and as by the expectation of the Head of Electrical. During our load-out, the RGB Technicians will be responsible for following the packing and load-out instructions for our RGB assets.
COMMITMENT DURING SEASON:
Must be prepared to work each day of the Load-in, Install, Run-of-Show, Strike, and Load-out
This includes the holiday season: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, and New Years Day
Applicants that are able to assist with our ongoing summer maintenance program are highly favored
Venue Advance commitments will be required in the month of October to facilitate RGB design reviews and cover training
As not all event cities will have an RGB Technician, the respective applicant will be required to travel to other locations as needed by the MGMT team.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:
Leading a team of Electrical Technicians to ensure all RGB event assets are wired properly and functioning as per the direction of the Head of Electrical and the Electrical Distribution Drawing package
Communicate and report daily progress to the Head of Electrical as well as onsite management as needed
Coordinate and oversee the successful implementation of our AC power distribution by our power vendors for our large RGB assets
Ensure a clean and safe event by adhering to a strict expectation of wiring management
Account for the successful load-in, storage, inventory, and load-out of our RGB based electrical supplies and equipment.
Work closely with our venue partners to ensure clear communication between our operational teams
Demonstrate a culture of transparency and accountability.
Establish clear lines of communication between your team, personnel, and all stakeholders.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:
3+ years of RGB Lighting/Electrical experience in the Entertainment Industry
An advanced knowledge of the W2812 LED circuits and their applications
An advanced knowledge of Madrix LED programming and communications setups
Experience managing teams of people in large productions, installations, and/or events
A strong understanding of electrical theory and practices with a focus on reporting and safety
The ability to read and follow Electrical Distribution drawings
Strong communicator and leader demonstrated by executing multiple successful projects
Ability to effectively manage schedules and clearly communicate daily reports to MGMT teams
Highly organized and detail oriented
Entrepreneurial and self-driven
Understanding of event installation methodologies: Tools, Equipment, Materials, and Processes
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Our venues span over 100,000 square feet
Must be able to frequently walk and stand for long durations
Frequently operates machinery and/or power tools
Enchant is an outdoor event, and subject to local winter weather. Must dress accordingly and be prepared
