The role of this Plumbing Manager is to organize, coordinate, direct, and maintain the service technicians as well as the scheduling and coordination of service operations in the field. Further, this person must maintain a cohesive relationship between the sales, install and service department while providing process and technical support to service technicians.

Overall Responsibilities
- Manage the technical training and retention of plumbing service team.
- Work alongside General Manager to create more of a retail service level offering options to customers.
- Coordinates with sales, dispatch, and service lead coordination team to ensure that all technicians meet customer needs and promote leads to office.
- Ensuring all trucks are properly stocked for service and ready prior to work commencing.
- Acting as the main point of communication between the field and the office on technical matter.
- Managing the work schedules for field technicians and on call schedule and ensuring have the right balance of different types of technicians.
- Reviewing problem dispatches and resolving issues.
- Providing technical and work ethic leadership to service technicians.
- Investigating and resolving customer complaints.
- Ensuring that safety policies including driver safety are strictly adhered to.
Daily Responsibilities
- Make sure all plumbing technicians arrive for first appointment by 8:30 AM.
- Make sure plumbing service technician are set up with proper time and job expectations for the day.
- Provide real time “Face Time” training to plumbing technicians in the field including ride-alongs.
- Follow up with customers and make sure all customer complaints are handled appropriately and promptly.
- Manage service technicians which includes reviewing and discipline.
- Coordinate crew sickness and vacation days to maintain a proper field staff.
- Participate in the recruiting, retention, and termination technicians.
- Manage employees training along with enforcing employee adherence to company’s high level of customer care.
- Meet weekly with Service Technicians to review operations, opportunities, issues, and improvements.
- Ensure that field policies and procedures are being followed and maintained.
- Ensure all payments are received and posted.
- Train and review field employees as needed.
- Communicate with all department employees to ensure efficient workflow.
- Review dispatches daily to ensure productivity and efficiency.
- Review weekly labor billing report with general manager for profitability and productivity.
- Be a brand ambassador and always reflect company core values.
Experience
- 3+ years management experience in retail/services environment.
- 3+ years in sales with training in soft skills.
- Exposure to working with plumbing technicians either through home services or construction.
- Managed a team of 12+ employees.
- Prior experience with Service Titan strongly preferred.
