Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to complete projects on time and within budget
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Renovate and build electrical systems in existing and new commercial buildings
- Install and maintain industrial electrical equipment, such as motors, generators, and control systems
- Use hand tools and power tools to complete electrical installations and repairs
- Test electrical systems for functionality and safety
- Perform high voltage electrical work as needed
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and components
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant regulations
- Experience working as an industrial electrician is a plus
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively
- Knowledge of logic controllers is preferred but not required
- Understanding of high voltage systems and safety protocols
- Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot electrical issues
