As a Territory Sales Representative with Marcone Plumbing, you will be responsible for calling on new and existing assigned customers for purposes of sales growth, promotional activities, new product introduction, problem resolution, customer training, and developing the dealer’s business. This role is responsible for territory saturation and sales growth through excellence in customer service and utilization of company sales tools and systems. This role calls on customers independently, with the sales manager, in person and via phone calls. Additionally, this role reports on market competition and other territory sales influences.
The Territory Sales Representative will work to support our Phoenix Territory.
Requirements & Duties
- Provides excellent customer service through consistent and timely customer interaction, problem resolution or escalation with effective and efficient follow-up
- Effectively communicates with assigned customers through direct purposeful sales calls, phone calls, texts, fax, email, mail, and other means as required
- Conducts personal interactions with customers representative of a company with strong, ethical standards
- Responsible for growth of new accounts and customer relationship development within the assigned territory
- Responsible for sales penetration of assigned base customer accounts and customer relationship maintenance
- Responsible for contacting all assigned customers monthly notifying them of essential information pertaining to products, promotions, changes in the company, training, and sales performance
- Engages in Sufficient Cold Calling Activities in order to maintain an adequate customer pipeline
- Sufficiently develops and maintains customer opportunity pipelines to a size that will support assigned new business goals
- Expertly demonstrates the ability to successfully close sales opportunities
- Expertly demonstrates the ability to create detailed, organized and complete sales presentations designed to increase sales
- Capable of presenting information in front of large groups of people
- Demonstrates the knowledge needed to help a customer grow their business through sales processes, understanding financials, creating programs, properly pricing jobs, and incorporating financing in their business
- Demonstrates the ability to makes critical, difficult decisions in matters of importance when appropriate
- Promptly and accurately schedules all appointments in current system
- Demonstrates organization, discipline and follow through of administrative functions
- Safeguards the release of proprietary information, company documents and other confidential data and information
- Regularly submits complete and accurate mileage and expense reports on time
- Presents marketing programs to customers that include promotions, flyers, specials, training, and other programs as directed
- Demonstrates proficiency and knowledge in all marketing programs, promotions, and support available from all vendors
- Completes pricing studies as required
- Demonstrates knowledge of company product lines with proficiency and detail
- Maintains a personal library of sales and technical materials for all product lines
- Assists in collection of outstanding accounts receivable when directed
- Demonstrates proficiency in the proper use of the company CRM and adheres to following company procedures and directives in the use of the system
- Demonstrates proficiency in vendor computer programs
- Demonstrates proficiency in the proper use of company ERP system
- Travel as needed
- Attends training sessions as required
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of company products
- Seek out new business opportunities
- Build and maintain deeper customer relationships
- Communicate effectively to Director, Regional Sales on activities, progress goals, and prospective customers
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma and some college coursework in Business or related field
- 3 or more years' experience with HVAC (MRO parts sale experience)
- Business-to-business sales (B2B) or technical background
- Plumbing industry knowledge not required, but a plus!
- Positive and engaging personality with a passion to help others
- Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Aptitude for mathematical operations and numerical analysis
- Tech Savvy
- Self-starter
- Ambitious and competitive
- Standard outside sales requirement of ability to lift up to 50 lbs, if necessary
- Reliable transportation and current/valid driver’s license
