Service (Sales) Managers are responsible for recruiting, training, and motivating the best and brightest HVAC Technicians and leading them to achieve budgeted monthly, quarterly, and annual gross profit contribution and KPI goals.
Essential Functions
- Call by call manage the progress of the technician during the inspection/diagnostic.
- Focus on 5-star customer experience and positive customer reviews.
- Seeing all consumer sales for all HVAC channels through to completion.
- Lead weekly sales meeting with technicians.
- Assist HVAC technicians with deciding system designs to ensure each customer and home has the most efficient and appropriate design.
- Communicate marketing messaging, campaigns, and promotions to technicians.
- Track and review sales at branch level.
- Conduct bi-monthly sales reviews with technician team.
- Build estimates for technicians.
- Present repair and replacement options to customers via phone or zoom.
- Ensure data collection on every job.
- Ensure Goettl internal compliance measures are met.
- Ensure multiple options are given on every job (minimum 2).
- Manager 3rd party Consumer Financing plans and monitor signed documents.
- Participate in weekly technician training (technical).
- Follow the Service Manager Sales Process.
- Rehash unsold estimates when necessary.
- Time manage the technician team.
- Debrief with and coach technicians on sales process.

Requirements:
- Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
- Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools.
- Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
- Experience in group speaking, training, leading and coaching.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Valid Driver's License with satisfactory driving record
- Pass a pre-employment drug screening (Marijuana, Cocaine, Amphetamines, Opiates, Propoxyphene, PCP, Barbiturates, Benzodiazepines, Methadone) and comprehensive background check.
- OSHA 10 certification (Construction and Health) preferred
- US work authorization
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- 3+ years sales experience
- 3+ years of experience in HVAC
- 3+ years of experience in a manager role
- Service Titan experience
Physical Demands
Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, and heavy lifting and carrying. Work in tiring and uncomfortable positions, around gas lines, around fumes and toxic chemicals, outside and inside. Exposure to extreme temperatures. Requires local travel.
