PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The following responsibilities describe the general nature of work for employees in this position, but is not intended as an exclusive or all-inclusive inventory.
- Perform skilled maintenance on building facilities and equipment.
- Perform general maintenance, light bulb replacement, adding salt to water softeners, change filters and any other tasks assigned.
- Help maintain and make adjustments to the HVAC systems within both the main museum and all of the outbuildings on campus.
- Oversee building maintenance and troubleshooting during their OnCall Shift.
- Complete assigned work orders and maintain work order documentation on the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
- Other duties as deemed necessary

REQUIRED SKILLS
- Must have proficiency with hand tools, power tools, electrical measuring devices and diagnostic equipment.
- Must possess the ability to work under pressure and constant change.
- Must possess strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Line voltage and low voltage electrical experience preferred.
- Controls and automation experience is a plus.
- The ability to read write and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals. Must possess the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to other employees.
- The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, and percentages.
- The ability to deal with problems involving multiple variables in a variety of situations.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and respond to emergencies after hours during their OnCall shift, (approx. 8 weeks a year)
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma and two years of experience in a related position.
