Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled AND EXPERIENCED Refrigeration Technician to join our team. As a Refrigeration Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial settings. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, cooling, and refrigeration units for commercial and residential customers.
- Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems
- Familiarity with (BAS) and understanding of the digital protocol with variable refrigerant flow systems. Navigate, clear alarms and reset parameters on VFD's.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning coils, replacing filters, and checking refrigerant levels
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Repair or replace faulty components such as compressors, motors, valves, and thermostats
- Test system performance and ensure proper operation
- Adhere to safety protocols and follow industry regulations
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and answering questions
Experience:
- Proven experience 5 YEARS MINIMUM as a HVAC Refrigeration Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, including both mechanical and electrical components
- EPA & OSHA Certificate
- Sheet metal installation a plus
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues accurately
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
- Must have experience with welding (brazing), hanging compressors, single and 3 phase systems.
- Computer skills for iPad and cell phone communication and documentation
