NEW CONSTRUCTION SERVICE TECHNICIAN (Commercial)

Job Overview:
As a technician, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems during & after the commercial new construction projects. Equipment ranging from 1 ton – 30 tons… Rooftops and Splits for all industry manufacturers. The ideal candidate will have a seasoned background in HVAC Service & Construction (commercial) and possess excellent problem-solving skills.
You will work with Construction & Service Departments to perform taskings from inception to completion and project Start Up and proper hand-off. You will be performing all standard service technician duties with a focus on construction. We are looking for someone who can live up to high standards and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
- Follow Construction Project timelines to fulfill deadlines for complete start up of units
- Inspect HVAC systems and identify issues or potential problems
- Collaborate with contractors and inspectors to meet building codes and regulations
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to determine the layout of HVAC systems
- Air conditioning, fans, heating, and ventilation.
- Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems
- Run service calls as needed to Support the service Department
- On-Call Evenings & Weekend rotations for the Service Department - Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized HVAC equipment
- Assist in receiving deliveries… off loading and assist in construction debri clean up
- This work is almost always physical in nature
Experience:
- Proven experience as a technician in Commercial & Construction settings
Skills:
- Blueprint reading
- Mechanical knowledge
- Basic math skills
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, bend and stoop, and stand for long periods of time
- Work in confined spaces time
- Bi-lingual
It is important for construction workers to be punctual, as most of jobs operate on tight deadlines and must be able to communicate with supervisor when issues arise. A construction worker must be able to work as a team and independently
- Payroll is processed 2 weeks in arrears

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.15 - $29.08 per hour
