Refrigeration Mechanic Duties:
- Maintain customers' refrigeration systems
- Inspect system components, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, fan motors, fans, and expansion valves
- Inspect tubing, connections, valves, and pumps
- Replace seals, gaskets, and bushings
- Re-assemble system components, such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, and pumps
Refrigeration Mechanic Responsibilities:
- Provide service to commercial refrigeration systems, including installing, servicing, repairing, and replacing parts; participating in preventative maintenance schedules; and performing minor calibrations
- Perform system checks, system troubleshooting, and refrigerant recovery
- Perform electrical and gas system troubleshooting
- Maintain records including daily service logs, refrigerant recovery reports, and service records
- Research and resolve complex system problems
- Complete assigned paperwork and forms
- Conduct safety inspections, including proper use of personal protective equipment, and verify that safety regulations are followed
Requirements And Skills:
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in engineering or technical area
- 1-4 years of experience in industrial, residential, and food service equipment
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Experience in troubleshooting and repairing refrigeration equipment
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing.
