What are we looking for?
The Electrician, Journeyman is responsible for support of all company operations and facilities, repairs, maintains, and installs electrical systems and equipment. Reads blueprints to assist in working with electrical systems. .
Shift/Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

What you’ll do:
- Repairs, maintains and installs electrical systems and equipment.
- Participates in the planning of new or modified installations.
- Inspects circuits and wiring for specified shielding, grounding and repairs or rewires system according to building codes and safety regulations.
- May replace bearings in electric motors, repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic or electronic components.
- May act as team leader. Coordinates team activities such as work orders to ensure all work is completed.
- Perform other work as required.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Requires 8,000 hours of on-the-job training/experience.
- Requires Journeyman Electrician License in the State of Texas.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
- Must be thoroughly proficient in the use of tools for the electrician trade, including meg-ohm meter, volt-ohm meter, amp and volt recorders, PM meters, am probe, voltage meter, etc.
- Frequent exposure to intense heat, glare and noise requiring use of personal protection devices such as earplugs, safety glasses and shoes, etc.
- Will be required to respond to off duty calls for emergency repairs and facility equipment.
- Be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work
- Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities and demanding deadlines
- Must be detailed-oriented and able to effectively prioritize and organize workload, with efficient time management
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal written and presentation formats
- Must possess the fundamental technical and administrative skills required to perform the job duties
- Must be customer focused and quality driven
- Ability to travel as business needs dictate - Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record (required)
