Purpose:
Gray Mechanical is seeking a skilled and experienced Fabrication Shop Leadman to work in the Prefabrication shop. They will partner with the shop manager to ensure that the team meets production schedules and deadlines. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of mechanical and plumbing systems, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the fabrication of components according to project specifications, blueprints, and industry standards.
- Fabricate, weld, and build components, as needed.
- Assign tasks and ensure that the team meets production schedules and deadlines.
- Inspect fabricated components for defects and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and solve fabrication issues.
- Ensure compliance and adherence with all safety regulations, protocols, and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training, preferred.
- Licensed plumbing journeyman, required.
- Welding experience
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Proficient in using fabrication shop tools and equipment
