USCD currently goes to market through independent sales reps managing an extensive dealer network. In this region, USCD seeks to hire a direct salesperson to support a direct warehouse opportunity. USCD’s value proposition is distinct in the marketplace, and that has allowed it to become the leader in the stock cabinetry marketplace. This value proposition consists of stocked inventory on hand, quality products, with top notch customer service.
Job Purpose
Grow sales by building stronger relationships with current customers and identifying and on-boarding new customers to include dealers, contractors and builders.
Job Description
- The person will be expected to generate new business opportunities through researching the market, identifying prospects, finding contacts, and close business. This effort will be supported by marketing (sales enablement tools and leads) as well as by inside sales (order entry customer service).
- Log activity in a CRM, report out regularly
- Share market and product insights with the marketing and sales teams
- Developing regional and territorial sales team strategies and forecasts
- Participating in trade shows
- Providing input on inventory and forecasting
- This is primarily an outside selling position.
Measure of Success
Primary measure achievement of orders budget at target margins.
Who would be a good fit for this position
Field salespeople who have a strong cold calling drive and natural ability to find and close new business. If you are comfortable with a low base high commission pay structure, this is an excellent opportunity to make money. The earning potential of this position is limited by the sales ability of the individual – The markets are projected to be strong over the next 5 to 10 years, the company’s products are competitively priced, there is competition, but the company is well positioned to win, and the company is continuously rolling out attractive new products.
Experience desired
5+ years of sales experience in the single-family home building or residential remodeling space, including building products, home improvements, etc.
