Bailey Real Estate Holdings, LLC is a residential and commercial real estate development firm located in NE DC. The company seeks to hire a full-time HVAC Technician to work with the organization handling building maintenance and upkeep for a high volume of disparate multi-unit properties within the District of Columbia.

The HVAC technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain HVAC equipment according to safety, planned and unplanned maintenance systems and processes. This supports the achievement of the company’s business goals and objectives – which is to provide a safe and habitable environment, and to service the reported and unreported maintenance needs of our clients. Journeyman License or Master License a plus, but not required.

1) Must have a valid license to drive to customer locations to complete repairs as received through work orders, given the priority level designated.

2) Build and maintain stellar customer relations in the field, and ensure a high quality of work and excellent customer service skills.

3) Clear Communication (with tenants, office admin staff, property managers, and/or independent contractors)

4) Team Work – ability to work closely with others, not only within the Facilities Department, but also other divisions within the company. (e.g. Property Managers, office staff, and independent contractors etc.)

5) Comply with company policies and procedures. Communicate any health and/or safety concerns/violations immediately to management.

6) Must be flexible to work overtime when needed, and available to respond

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Communication Skills - Confident writing and speaking skills. The ability to communicate in writing and in speech intelligibly Communication & Language Skills - Strong customer service skills; Must be able to write and speak intelligibly; Ability to read and interpret documents such as violation notices, building code specifications, operating and maintenance instructions; Ability to write service tickets; Ability to speak effectively to customers; Fluency in Spanish desired, but not required.

Reasoning Ability - Ability to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form; Ability to exercise mild judgment in evaluating and solving problems of simple procedural or technical nature; Ability to effectively coordinate and complete simultaneously assigned tasks in a timely manner.

Physical Demands – Regularly required to drive, stand, walk, climb stairs, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift 75 lbs or more, talk, and hear. The demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
