The Facilities Manager surveys the business properties located at 3333 Wilkinson Blvd., 800 Clanton Road and 5800 Old Pineville Road, in Charlotte and our Mobile & Transportation Units. FM will also determine priorities for improving or maintaining the safety and security of the space. They might perform light maintenance themselves or call local tradespeople to schedule services, then inspect their work to ensure it meets environmental and health regulations. Facilities Managers review support tickets for issues inside or outside of the building and send updates to the business owner about upcoming repairs and refurbishments. They produce reports and write recommendations on how to configure the building efficiently.
The role of a Facilities Manager has broad responsibilities, from managing staff and overseeing projects, to maintaining safety protocols and implementing site procedures. Most importantly learn the new systems that operate the building located at 3333 Wilkinson Blvd.
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Delegating cleaning and maintenance tasks to team members
- Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces
- Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors
- Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals
- Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders
- Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff
- Collaborating with upper management on budgeting for facilities needs
- Work closely with Architects and Engineers to establish the requirements for the construction
- Pick up and transport parcels, packages, and other deliverables (checks to be signed, contracts to be hand delivered, etc.)
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of systems and equipment; monitor fire alarm control panels and other emergency equipment
- Handle emergencies appropriately according to established procedures; prepare and file accident reports
- Set project goals and oversee projects to completion, schedule and track assignments
- Handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Ensure compliance with company or government regulations; ensure compliance with contracted service level agreements (SLAs); maintain up-to-date county, municipal, and state licensing
