R.E. Robertson is looking to hire a motivated candidate with qualifications suited to fill the following position in our plumbing department:
- Plumber ( Service ) - Residential and Commercial
- Job Requirements
- At least 2 consecutive years of employment as a Plumber OR 5 consecutive years as a Plumber's Apprentice/Helper for a Licensed Plumbing Contractor
- Maryland Journey Plumber/Gas Fitter License is preferred but not required
- Valid Maryland Driver's License with clean driving record
- Pre-employment screening (Physical examination, Drug test, and Background check)
- Must be able to provide quality workmanship in the safest and most cost effective manner possible
- Must be able to follow direction from your dispatcher or supervisor for where and what work is to be done
- Must consistently show up to the office or job site on-time every day or else notify your supervisor as early as possible in the event that something comes up that will cause you to be late or miss work
- Must be able to be on-call during after hours and weekends for a week at a time, rotating (approx every 7 weeks) with the other members of the plumbing service department ( Service positions only )
- Ability to accurately track time and material while performing work
- Ability to read and understand a schematic drawing ( Service and Install ) or set of blueprints ( Construction ) so that our purchasing agents can be provided with accurate sizes and counts for material that needs to be ordered to complete the work shown on the drawings
- Must maintain a professional image and communicate effectively while interacting with homeowners and customers ( Service and Install )
- Must be respectful of job site rules and capable of communicating and coordinating effectively with project management, inspectors and/or other subcontractors on the job ( Construction and Install )
