ATI has a current need for a full-time HVAC Mechanic/General Maintenance Worker. ATI is seeking a highly motivated, qualified, and experienced HVAC Mechanic/General Maintenance Worker with experience working on HVAC systems and associated equipment for a Government facility located in Annapolis, Maryland.

Duties and Responsibilities

Check system functions, safety controls, and adjust the operating sequence where appropriate.
Inspect electrical components and connections and repair/replace or tighten as required.
Ensure proper airflow and change dirty air filters.
Inspect pumps, lubricate, and check flow rates where appropriate.
Clean and lubricate motors as required.
Examine belts, adjust and align as required.
Inspect, clean and balance blowers as required.
Check and maintain the boiler system water conditioning system.
Clean vents and ductwork.
Perform light electrical work as required.
Diagnose causes of problems and/or failures in HVAC and electrical systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair and/or replacement needs.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Minimum of five years relevant HVAC and associated equipment experience.
HVAC mechanic and EPA Universal Refrigerant certifications.
Current SECRET clearance or an acceptable background history to acquire such a clearance in a timely manner.
Experience at a Government facility is a plus but not required.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

Preference may be given to applicants who possess one or more of the following skillsets:

Knowledge of the methods of maintenance and repair of skill and technical areas such as electricity, carpentry, HVAC, and plumbing and the use of relevant trade tools, equipment, and materials.
General knowledge of building construction/repair with considerable skill related to commercial plumbing fixtures, systems, and their associated delivery methods. Working skill in diagnosing maintenance and repair problems outside of HVAC systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Annapolis, MD

Working Hours: Normal Work Hours – Monday – Friday (anticipate 40 per week).
