INSTALLERS:
Job Summary: This individual is responsible for the installation, retrofit and start-up of building systems; utilizing knowledge of sheet metal installation, electrical, pipe fitting and structural layouts. The ideal person would have experience installing top of the line heating and cooling equipment, heat pumps, ductless mini splits, hot water boilers, water tanks, sheet metal installation, and basic fabrication.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for installation of all HVAC products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- May work under the guidance of an experienced HVAC Field Supervisor while on assignments.
- Uses a variety of hand tools, power tools and lifts; follow blueprints or engineering specifications to complete installation of new units.
- Performs replacement and modifications as need or required by customers.
- Prepares for on-site installation and/or repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work as necessary.
- Maintains equipment by inspecting for signs of wear.
- Represents Company by serving as a direct customer contact.
- Documents work by completing electronic work order on each job, including daily time reporting.
- Records parts, material, labor, subs and other cost data per assignment and returns unused resources.
- Attends referred training programs designed to further working knowledge of the industry.
TECHNICIANS:
This technician performs field activities associated supporting the installation, maintaining and servicing heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems for residential customers.
Duties include:
- Assist with on-site preventative maintenance, routine repair and calibration after installation.
- Uses technical abilities to maintain systems.
- Works in a team-based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Must work in a safe manner on a daily basis and ensure that all safety measures are taken at all times.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Flexibility to work overtime, on-call and weekends required.
Job Requirements:
- Must be able to measure, cut and fit: black iron pipe, PVC, and copper refrigerant piping.
- Must have basic understanding of low voltage control wiring and high voltage connections.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- HVAC Trade school graduate strongly preferred achieving 3.5 GPA and excellent attendance
- 1+ years in mechanical support role, some hands on HVAC experience preferred
- EPA Certification- Type I & Type II or Universal Preferred
- NATE certification a plus
- Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record
- Moderate lifting (up to 90 pounds)
- Complete pre-employment drug test and background check process
- Technical aptitude to perform maintenance, service, and troubleshoot equipment
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Good Electrical and Mechanical Diagnostic Skills
- Ability to complete repairs and required paperwork
- Ability to work independently and self-schedule
- Self-motivated to complete assigned tasks within time constraints
- Driven to succeed and able to work with minimum supervision
- Local travel may required
- Universal EPA Certification
- Certificate of Completion from a HVAC Technical School, preferred
