Responsible for maintaining all LOGAN-owned facilities (building and grounds), vehicles, and equipment, and for performing preventive maintenance in a neat, orderly and timely manner.
Requirements:
Essential Functions
- Make plumbing, carpentry, electrical, heating, structural repairs in all LOGAN facilities as assigned by the supervisor.
- Respond to open work orders entered in SysAid system in a timely manner.
- Diagnoses problems in LOGAN owned facilities and proceeds with necessary work to make proper repairs.
- Informs supervisor of needed repairs that personnel are unable to perform.
- Picks up repair/replacement parts as needed to perform repair/replacement functions for all LOGAN owned facilities.
- Perform and document all required monthly inspections. Provide documentation to supervisor.
- Ensures safety standards are met at all facilities.
- Completes a thorough cleanup of work area upon completion of a job.
- Ensure that all receipts are turned into Director of Maintenance and Housekeeping in a timely manner.
- Implements universal precautions in all functions where possible contamination from blood or body fluids may be present. This is to include, but not be limited to, the use of latex gloves and other provided protective equipment.
- Follows all OSHA safety rules, regulations and guidelines.
General Responsibilities
- Responsible for the health and safety of persons served
- Serve as role model for persons served
- Serve as an advocate and to protect the human rights of the persons served
- Participate in training as required by your supervisor or for all LOGAN staff
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- High school diploma or GED
Experience
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years building and grounds keeping maintenance
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing systems, carpentry, vehicle maintenance, grounds maintenance, equipment maintenance and repair
- Must be diplomatic and understanding in dealing with students, staff and external stakeholders
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
