Job Overview:
The HVAC Technical Specialist will provide technical expertise and training with a focus on products related to the HVAC market. The role will serve as technical liaison to both internal and external stakeholders across various product lines. The primary role is to provide technical support to our customers' field technicians. This important area of our business supports the entire Residential and Commercial product lines. In addition to phone support, job site visits with the dealer are required to assist with problem resolution. Other duties include consumer relations, special warranty issues, and providing technical product training for our dealers. Additionally, this position will support internal customers as needed to secure sales and address post-sale issues. This opportunity will be based in Houston and will require a daily presence at our Houston Spenwick facility during regular business hours.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide remote technical support/assistance troubleshooting product installation and service issues via telephone, remote assistance tool, or email
- Provides system-level technical support to our internal and external clients
- Handle technical calls from contractors, assist contractors as well as work with manufacturers
- Design and execute training curriculum for both contractors and internal associates
- Participation in technical selling to convert contractors to our brands of equipment
- Serve as a subject matter expert for contractors, while providing HVAC equipment product support with courteous customer support and service
- Stay abreast of current company product lines, including their related installation and service practices.
Required Experience:
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent
- 10 Years of experience in the HVAC industry with in-depth knowledge of system design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Experienced in providing customer technical assistance
- Excellent telephone and written communications skills

Preferred Experience:
- BS or BA in Engineering or other Technical Discipline
- Licensed HVAC mechanic
- Knowledge about sealants, plumbing, electrical, and general construction
Work Environment
Office:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an office environment. Occasionally, the employee will be exposed to a warehouse environment and will be required to wear appropriate PPE.
