Silvercote has an opening for an Outside Sales Representative to join our team and enhance our business. This position drives strategic sales growth of the laminated insulation business via a wide array of products and services within an assigned multi-state territory. Focuses on leveraging industry and products in order to create demand in the market. Serves as a manufacture’s Sales Representative and sells in a consultative manner. Proactively engages with new, existing and potential customers to increase the business footprint. Strong knowledge of products, market and selling on value are essential to the success of this role.
Silvercote is a custom provider of insulation systems for the metal building industry. The construction projects are managed in a made to order fashion. The role of outside sales is to work in collaboration with various functions within the business and to coordinate the project from start to finish. This role requires over 50 percent travel, candidate must live within the sales territory.

What qualifications do you need?
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- Training in Value-Added Selling, Solution Selling or similar preferred
Experience:
- Minimum five (5) years of territory sales experience with proven record of performance
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
- Knowledge of designated products, industries and markets along with a proven track record of generating and growing profitable sales
- Ability to understand the key aspects of selling on value as opposed to price
- Demonstrated ability to work within the dynamic and evolving sales cycle as it relates to the building products industry
- Ability to maintain a self-directed approach towards the study of new products, literature, promotions and trade publications
- Ability to motivate and influence others
- Ability to make quick, thorough decisions
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment

Physical Demands:
