Daily activities include:
- Recruit, motivate and retain a team of high-performing and driven team members
- Work closely with the team members to improve morale by motivating through effective coaching and facilitating personal growth
- Manage the daily inventory requests; ensuring all production and efficiency standards are maintained
- Communicate effectively with your team members and all levels of management
- Identify and celebrate operational successes; develop and implement strategies to capitalize on opportunities and address areas of improvement, and execute accordingly
- Ensure department goals are met or exceeded
- Initiate, coordinate and effectively manage compliance of optimal operational policies and procedures
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
What we're looking for:
- Minimum 2 years of college or equivalent
- Four years of warehouse experience, of which two years must involve warehouse department management
- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
- Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Ability to manage details, appreciate complexity, and champion problem solving
- Strong leadership skills, flexible and innovative with a collaborative style
- Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to bend, stand, walk for prolonged period of time
- Able to repeatedly lift 60 lbs.
- Bilingual in Spanish/ English is a plus
- Able to submit to a Drug Test and Background Investigation
