As an HVAC Service Technician, your primary responsibility is to ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. This role focuses on running maintenance and service calls to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance Calls:
- Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC systems according to established schedules.
- Perform inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
- Clean and replace filters, belts, and other components to optimize system efficiency.
- Document maintenance activities and provide recommendations for necessary repairs or upgrades.
- Service Calls:
- Respond promptly to service requests from clients or dispatchers.
- Diagnose HVAC system problems through systematic troubleshooting.
- Repair or replace faulty components, such as motors, compressors, fans, and control systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards during service calls.
- Troubleshooting:
- Analyze and identify issues with HVAC systems through diagnostic tools and manual inspection.
- Develop effective solutions to address problems and restore proper system functionality.
- Communicate findings and recommended repairs to clients in a clear and concise manner.
- Customer Interaction:
- Interact professionally with clients to gather information about equipment issues.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing concerns and answering questions.
- Educate clients on proper maintenance practices to extend the life of their HVAC systems.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of service and maintenance activities.
- Complete service reports, detailing the work performed, parts used, and recommendations for future considerations.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other HVAC technicians, support staff, and management to optimize service delivery.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Time Management:
- Efficiently manage time and prioritize service calls to meet established deadlines.
- Work independently or as part of a team to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Texas Driver’s license
- EPA Universal License
- Register Air Conditioning Technician with TDLR
- Over one year experience as a residential HVAC service technician.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
