HVAC Service Technician
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: Full-time with overtime available. This position is also eligible for bonuses and commissions based on performance that will allow Technicians to make up to $100,000 annually or higher for top performers.
Currently offering a $1,000 sign on bonus for this position.
Summary/Objective:
The HVAC Service Technician will be part of a service team focusing on furnaces, boilers, and heat pump solutions.
Essential Functions:

- Service and maintenance of high efficiency heating and cooling equipment, boilers, furnaces, central air and ductless mini splits along with domestic hot water.
- Performs routine preventative maintenance, including servicing system cleaning and dealing with high CO and failed draft and spillage issues.
- Works with a senior technician and assists as needed.
- Completes paperwork and online closure of service calls.
- Obtains and maintains required certifications.
- Tests electrical safety circuits or components for continuity using electrical test equipment.
- Records as well as reports all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences as well as the time and materials expended on work orders.
- Tests pipe or tubing joints or connections for leaks using pressure gauge or soap and water solution.
- Recommends, develops and performs preventive general maintenance procedures including cleaning, power washing, vacuuming equipment, oiling parts and changing filters.
- Adjusts system controls, installs auxiliary components to heating and cooling equipment as well as connect electrical components.
- Installs and adjusts thermostats.
- Joins pipes or tubing to equipment for fuel, water or refrigerant source to form complete circuit or heating loops.
- Measures, cuts, threads or bends pipe or tubing using pipe fitter’s tools.
- Fabricates, assembles or installs duct work or chassis parts.
- Performs other tasks as required.

Required Experience:
- Formal training and certification from a HVAC Training Program
License Requirements:
- EPA/Refrigerant License
- Clean driver’s license and reliable transportation
Work Environment:
HVAC workers generally work indoors and outdoors in residential settings, sometimes in small confined spaces
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, bend or kneel in confined spaces. The employee must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.
