A foreman is the leader and manager of the day-to-day activities on the jobsite. A foreman is expected to manage the jobsite for efficiency and accuracy, as well as provide leadership for the employees working on-site. This individual will be tasked with ensuring safety protocols are being followed by all, without exception. The foreman will effectively communicate with their team and other trades while representing Denron Hall. They are expected to ensure proper training is performed to promote growth, understanding, especially for new and inexperienced employees. The foreman must ensure the job is stocked with the proper material inventory and information is relayed to the employees to allow seamless daily workflow, as well as daily individual goals. Managing the job with the resources they have and planning around the resources they don’t have.
Job Description/Duties:
- Manage daily labor and productivity while giving clear objectives and timelines
- Accurately enters, or reviews, hours worked in payroll application
- Coordinate with the general contractor and other trades to achieve goals
- Adhere and enforce safety policy and immediately correct any non-compliance
- Positively represent Denron Hall in all your daily communications
- Effectively listen to employee concerns and guide them towards resolutions
- Immediately report all work-related injuries and complete required report
- Complete daily paperwork in an accurately and timely manner
- Ability to safely operate a company vehicle during work hours
- Collaborate with site Supervisor regarding job site materials
- Inventory and track all product delivered to job site and be aware of all materials on site at all times.
- Monitor and track all material on backorder.
- Responsible for mark-out/layout of all systems and product as indicated in the contract documents and as indicated on coordination drawings provided by the office.
- Responsible for all on-site project documentation (Time Sheets, Daily Logs, Weekly Safety, Test Reports, Pictures, Etc.)
- Able to manage jobs with up to 10 employees
- Be able to lead and manage the job with dedicated to moderate support from project management team
Skills & Competencies:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- OSHA 10
- Trade experience with 4+ years preferred (licensed if available for relative trade)
- Comprehensive understanding of related trade codes
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrates exceptional leadership qualities
- Ability to develop a team and work cohesively
- Valid driver’s license
- Receptive to new ideas and questions
- Efficient and organized
- Be able to address and manage moderate levels of stress
Supervisory Responsibility:
- Provide leadership to all employees
- Manages productivity and labor
- Serve as a first point of contact for all job site employee matters
- Evaluates job performance of employees
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift & carry 50 pounds
- Prolonged periods of standing/walking
- Often squatting, reaching and working overhead
- Capacity to climb stairs
- Work at varying heights while on a ladder
- Ability to work in all indoor and outdoor climates
