Are you a skilled Maintenance Technician ready to take your expertise to the next level? We’re seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to join our team at a multi-family apartment community. The ideal candidate will be proactive, self-motivated, and passionate about ensuring the property remains in exceptional condition for our residents. Key Responsibilities:
- Resident Service: Promptly complete work orders, ensuring residents’ homes are functional and comfortable.
- HVAC & Plumbing: Perform inspections, repairs, and installations to maintain efficient heating, cooling, and plumbing systems.
- Preventative Maintenance: Inspect and maintain fire alarms, safety equipment, and common area systems to minimize downtime and ensure safety compliance.
- General Repairs: Handle minor repairs, such as fixing locks, patching drywall, and replacing windows or light fixtures.
- Pest Control: Conduct preventative pest control treatments as needed.
- Aesthetic Upkeep: Assist with property landscaping, painting, and cosmetic updates to maintain curb appeal.
- Turnovers: Prepare vacant units for new residents by completing all necessary repairs and updates efficiently.
- Budget Compliance: Collaborate on maintenance budgets and ensure spending aligns with approved guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician in residential or multifamily housing.
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
- Familiarity with apartment turnover procedures.
- Working knowledge of common tools, appliances, and maintenance processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks as needed.
- Willingness to work overtime, be on-call for emergencies, and respond to urgent maintenance needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or building maintenance are a plus).
- Boiler system experience is preferred but not required.
