We’re looking for a skilled, hard-working and motivated journeyman plumber to add to our growing team. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of plumbing experience, and is able to work in a fast-paced environment. In this position, it will be your job to assist our residential and commercial clients with all of their plumbing and drainage issues.
The plumber will be required to arrive at customer locations within 1 hour of service calls, perform regular maintenance on residential or commercial plumbing equipment, and repair anything related to pipes, sinks, faucets, water heaters or toilets. Your tasks will involve locating leaks and patching them, as well as repairing blockages and corrosions that are impacting the quality of the client’s system. You will also be asked to repair and install new fixtures, pipe fittings, and pipes, among other things.
As one of our journeyman plumbers, you will work directly with our clients. As such, you are expected to demonstrate a professional attitude while working in their homes or business and be willing to answer any questions that they may have for you. You will also be asked to observe all pertinent health and safety requirements while you work.
Requirements:
- Valid Journeyman Plumber license
- Proven experience in plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to adhere to safety standards and regulations
Responsibilities:
- Handle a wide variety of plumbing problems independently and with assistance from co-workers and supervisors.
- Perform basic plumbing repairs such as soldering, pipe cutting, and pipe threading.
- Sell services & products that would benefit the customer and solve their problems in the long run.
- Communicate the nature of plumbing problems to supervisors and co-workers.
- Install new water heaters
- Install new fixtures.
- Order appropriate materials and supplies necessary to perform work.
- Know how to work with different kinds of piping, including copper, plastic, iron, and steel.
- Troubleshoot problems by identifying the problem and its cause.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in plumbing, maintenance, or other related field
- Reliable Transportation
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
