GEN-TECH is a full service Industrial Power Generator Company four locations across Arizona, Southern Nevada, Denver CO and Albuquerque NM. We are a 32 year company that provides New Equipment Products, Rentals, Service, Fueling and Training. We are seeking Individuals to support our customers in each territory as we expand.
We are seeking a skilled Diesel/Generator Technician to join our team in the commercial rental sector. This role involves working on generators both in the shop and in the field. The technician will be responsible for installing generators, making electrical connections, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring optimal operation of all equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel mechanics, electrical systems, and generator operations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Experience/proficiency and extensive knowledge with Portable/Towable Generator Installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Perform and assist in Rental job deliveries, set-ups, teardowns, and pick-ups as directed.
- Perform on site 250 and 500-hour services and fuel deliveries for our Rental Equipment as needed or directed.
- Perform in shop Rental repairs, maintenance, and assist in major engine repairs as directed.
- Perform check-ins, prepare for upcoming rental jobs, and other in shop duties as needed/directed.
- Determine and document damages on rental equipment
- Working knowledge of Diesel engine maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
- Promote greater rental job productivity and efficiency
- Maintain rental shop area including rental yard
- Maintain designated rental tool inventory.
- Work safely at all times. Adhere to all applicable safety policies. Comply with all company policies and procedures and best practice standards.
- Adhere to Safety Driving Policy
- Additional responsibilities:
- This position requires you to work after hours on-call as needed; ability to work irregular hours / overtime.
- Be able to communicate (in English) verbally, writing, information, instructions and explanations to associates, clients and management regarding vehicle/component/equipment conditions, problems, recommendations, and processes.
- Ability to work independently in the field.
- Valid class A CDL driver’s license – Preferred
- May be required to operate a forklift with appropriate certification(s

Pay: $25.00 - $34.00 per hour
