We are looking for a dedicated and experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our team.
Position Overview: The experienced HVAC Service Technician will service, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units/ equipment for commercial customers. The ideal candidate has a strong background in the commercial HVAC service industry and is motivated to do quality work, plus further their career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service, repair, and maintenance of HVAC equipment at commercial buildings
- Wire low voltage to cooling and heating equipment
- Install refrigerant lines to AC units, including copper brazing and soldering and pressing
- Ensure proper connection of gas lines to heating equipment
- Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical and electrical components of HVAC systems
- Maintain and submit service call reports or start-up reports for new and/or replaced units
- Provide technical direction and on-the-job training of HVAC Apprentices
- Participate in company provided training opportunities on latest industry technologies
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in service, maintenance, and troubleshooting and correcting diverse HVAC service issues
- Mechanically inclined
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, manuals, and wiring diagrams
- Having a Massachusetts Refrigeration License is highly desirable
- EPA & OSHA certified (or willingness to get certified)
- Must hold a valid state driver’s license and have a clean driving record
