Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with the ability to analyze project specifications and costs effectively. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed within budget and on schedule, while maintaining high-quality standards.
Duties
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for estimating purposes.
- Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid for efficient estimating processes.
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather data relevant to cost estimation.
- Prepare detailed proposals and contracts, ensuring all aspects of the project are accounted for.
- Negotiate contract terms with clients and subcontractors to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle of the project, implementing cost control measures as needed.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam.
- Familiarity with cost control methods and project management techniques.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred but not required.
