Industrial Machinery Maintenance Technician
Position Summary:
The Industrial Machinery Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair, installation, adjustment, and maintenance of industrial production and processing machinery.
Responsibilities of the Industrial Machinery Maintenance Technician:
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks on various types of production equipment.
- Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear.
- Reassemble equipment after completing inspections, testing, or repairs.
- Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.
- Record repairs and maintenance performed.
- Communicate daily with the Maintenance Supervisor for assignments.
- Record parts and materials used, and order or requisition new parts and materials as necessary.
- Be on-call for maintenance duties.
Requirements of the Industrial Machinery Maintenance Technician:
- Education: Associate degree in Industrial Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation or more than 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience: One to two years of related experience preferred.
- Skills:
- PLC and controls logic experience (a plus).
- Electrical troubleshooting/repair skills.
- 2-3 years of AC/DC voltage experience.
- Ability to read electrical diagrams.
- Forklift and electric pallet jack certification (preferred).
- Experience with plastics production equipment (a plus).
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with Lock Out/Tag Out procedures (training required annually).
