Plumbing Field Trainer

Roto-Rooter operating in Livonia, MI is in search for an experienced Plumbing Field Trainer!
Ideal candidate will have plumbing experience and supervisory skills in order to help our team of professionals grow and succeed.
Your responsibilities would include:
- Manage, coach and mentor a team of service professionals to provide quality customer service to all customers. Help techs improve their communication and efficiency with customers.
- Increase Sales metrics by working with technicians to identify excavation opportunities and preventative maintenance account prospects.
- Work with project managers on scheduling and completing plumbing jobs sold.
- Monitor the progress of large residential and commercial plumbing improvement projects.
- Safety Stops: Conduct work-site reviews to ensure safety measures are utilized.
- Monitor your teams’ performance standards weekly by doing ride-alongs and meeting with technicians to review and determine areas where additional training is needed.
- Accompany Service Technician to customer sites to observe performance and provide coaching and training in various aspects including customer service, sales to include offering additional products and services, building commercial customer base, and safety/OSHA requirements.
- Keep technicians on target by following through with suggestions for improvement during coaching sessions and checking in that progress has been made.
- Escalated Calls/Issues: Help with customer relations and complaints past dispatch office.
- Employee Retention: Work closely with other members of the administration to suggest and maintain employee retention tactics.
- Host team meetings and assist in picking a topic and supplementary video relevant to the subject matter to present to the team. Speak on the topic and answer any questions the team may have.
- Oversee the training of new team members, conduct periodic checkpoints within the training time frame, and keep trainers and trainees on track then onboard them into their van upon graduation, and go over invoicing and social soft skills that will help in the field.
- Maintain the rotating schedule for technicians, trainees, and laborers.
- Other Duties as assigned by the General Manager

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
